SCILLONIAN BEE PROJECT

Every piece of jewellery you buy directly SUPPORTS THE SCILLONIAL BEE PROJECT, LED BY JILLY HALliday

This grass roots community project works with local beekeepers on the isles and the island-based schools. Their aim is to assist the local community in protecting the locally adapted near-native dark honeybee populations and to develop sustainable beekeeping methods to conserve and protect the honeybee populations – in doing so a unique Scillonian Bee will evolve. We love the uniting ethos of this project, and the exciting ambition to create a Scillonian Bee. We are delighted that all of our 1% For The Planet donation goes directly to support this campaign.

“I am delighted that 1% of ALL our sales contribute to this fabulous project. As a novice beekeeper I have been welcomed into the bee community so warmly; as a lover of the sea and Cornwall this fascinating work Jilly and the islanders are doing resonates with me personally as well as being aligned with our desire to contribute to sustainability as a business. We could not be more delighted to be connected to this powerful and ambitious local project.”
